Will, Trust And Probate Dispute Solicitors

The death of a loved one is always a distressing time. The stress of the situation can be increased further when the Will is challenged or claims are made against the estate.

When a person dies, their estate will be dealt with as detailed in their Will, or under the rules of intestacy if a Will does not exist. If you do not believe that a Will expresses an individual’s true wishes (for example, because they may have been unduly influenced), or that a Will may be invalid as it wasn’t signed correctly or the person lacked capacity, you may have grounds upon which to contest the Will.

If you have been left out of a Will or not properly provided for by the Will or intestacy, you may wish to consider a claim under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.

WILL DISPUTE SOLICITORS

When faced with a dispute, we believe that it is important to seek legal advice at the earliest opportunity, to address matters before the situation escalates further or your options are narrowed.

At an initial meeting, in person or remotely, a specialist solicitor will listen and help to assess your situation, advise on the strength of your case and discuss your options, to help achieve the best possible outcome for you. You can expect the same expert legal advice and excellent client care on which our leading reputation is based, however you decide to work with us.

Our solicitors will always provide clear and up to date information on the anticipated timescales and costs and help to carefully manage both aspects on your behalf.

We are highly experienced in pursuing and defending Will, Trust and inheritance disputes through litigation and in the courts, but also recognise the demands that unresolved disputes can place on you and will work to help you avoid the need for litigation wherever possible.
